Hello everyone! Happy Valentines Day in advance! For this post I have decided to demonstrate a gift, perfect for your partner on Valentines day. This post is about a DIY item called the “The Memory Jar”. It brings back a ton of great memories with your loved ones and is an ideal gift for your partner. I decided to call this item the memory jar as it is basically a jar containing lots of scrolls with great stories and memories. It is extremely easy to make and can be used as a birthday gift, anniversary gift or even a self-motivational craft.I am extremely sorry guys as I haven’t been able to demonstrate each step with pictures but I promise you, that it is really easy to understand just be reading the steps as well. At the end of this activity, you’ll find a recipe as your bonus entertainment.

Memory Jar – The Activity
For making this you will need:
- Glass Jar (Any size of your choice)
- Coloured Paper – At least 3 colours of your choice
- Scissors
- Pictures
- Glue
- Sequins
- Glitter (Optional)
- Dried Flower and Embellishments
- Thread or ribbon
- Permanent marker
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Take the sheets of coloured paper and trim them to form rectangles. I have used 2″ x 6″ long rectangles.
Step 2: Write a special message on each paper sheet and stick some pictures on the sheets as well. I have used pictures of dimensions 4.5 x 4.5 cm.
Step 3: Now roll each paper and tie it with the ribbon. Make as many such scrolls as you want.
Step 4: Now take you jar and use the permanent marker to write a note on it. The note can be something simple like ‘Happy Valentines Day’ or something more thoughtful like ’15 Reason why I love you’.
Step 5: Now take your scrolls and put them in the jar along with some sequins, some glitter and the flowers and the embellishments. You can even spray a little perfume inside the jar and then close the lid to add a magical element to it.
And that is basically it. The “Memory Jar” is now ready to be gifted. Now time for the bonus entertainment!
